If you haven’t heard by now, you must be one of the 170 million people who aren’t following me on twitter. No matter. But here’s the deal:
El Burro is bringing Mexico to Cape Town. No, not in an inner tube, that’s America. In a slow cooked, 7 hours in the oven, this is food straight from Tijuana, kinda way. Also in the “we have over 50 tequilas” kind of way. It’s really good.
Unfortunately, their mascot, The Donkey, had a South American holiday, also known as a kidnapping. But he found his way back. And so we celebrate his return with a little fiesta on Wednesday 30th March, 6-8pm:
R120 gets you in, a La Muerte-Agave de Jalisco Margarita, Mexican canapes (enough to make you full) and a warm feeling inside, because R20 goes to the Help2Read charity.
In fact, this fiesta is so #winning (Copyright Charlie Sheen) that you can win beforehand. Tweet a story/joke/poem/haiku/limerick about where Donkey went or what he got up to and mention @help2read, and you could win an artistic replica of Donkey!
There will be more giveaways, tequila, auctions, tequila, margarita cupcakes, tequila and … if enough money is raised, I will wear this:
Wait. Don’t come. No. Please don’t. Stay home. Dammit.
RSVP here: http://twtvite.com/donkeysback even if you not on Twitter.
